Shanghai: Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Pablo Carreno-Busta to kick off Monday

The central court of the Shanghai Masters 1000 is set to host a clash between two distinct profiles. Felix Auger-Aliassime, world No. 6 and top seed, will aim to confirm his consistency on hard courts against Pablo Carreno-Busta, No. 65, a specialist of slower surfaces but capable of upsets.

The Canadian, seeking his first Masters 1000 title in over a year, will approach this match with the ambition to take control from the first exchanges. His powerful game and strong serve will be major assets against the Spaniard, whose defensive solidity and experience in big tournaments could create opportunities.

For his part, Carreno-Busta, a Shanghai finalist in 2017, knows the venue well and knows how to exploit his opponents' weaknesses. This match, scheduled for 06:00, could offer a glimpse of both players' ambitions in this demanding tournament.

The tennis world holds its breath ahead of this first clash of the day.
